Luke 10:5-7
“When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’  If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.  Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give to you, for the worker deserves his wages.  Do not move around from house to house.”

Reflection
Jesus has delegated to us the responsibility to share his good news with others.  He even shares with us the means to get it done.  Jesus tells us that we should look for the person who is receptive to you and the message of the gospel.  That is what Jesus means when he says to look for the “person of peace.”  The person of peace is one who will be open and willing to hear what you have to say.

So many times we spend our time trying to convince the one who is firmly against the gospel.  We should pray for that person, that their heart would be softened and they would be willing to hear the good news, but they should not be the one that we are focusing our efforts on.  We should find the receptive person of peace and begin developing a relationship with that person because they are more likely to receive what we have to offer.

How do you think you would know when you have found the “person of peace”?
