Mission of Christ in the World
Acts 13:1-3, 16:6-10
What does it mean to be missional? It doesn’t mean that we do mission activities. A church might have a group work in a community agency once a month. A church might have a small group of people serve a meal to underserved people in the community. A church might have a group of people who go to another community on a mission trip. These are good things but they don’t make a church missional. What makes a church missional is that the people of the church have a mindset that no matter where they are or what they are doing they should be thinking about and looking for ways to promote the cause of Jesus Christ. A church is missional when the people of the church realize they are on a mission (which means we are sharing Jesus’ love and grace) all the time and wherever they are.
