Matthew 12:13
Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.”  So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.

Reflection
Even though Jesus was being criticized by the Pharisees by doing something that they perceived was breaking their religious law, Jesus went ahead and did it anyway.  Why?  Jesus healed the man’s hand, even though he knew that it would bring negative consequences to him, because he knew it was the right thing to do.

Sometimes we allow the “work of the church” to get in the way and consume our time and we neglect the more important matters.  Sometimes we get involved in good things but we never get around to doing the better thing.  It often happens that we are so busy with lots of things in the life of the church that we never get around to doing the most important thing, which is to offer Christ to a lost and dying world.  Christ will meet our greatest need.

Can you think of things that we should stop doing in the life of the church so we can dedicate more time and resources to taking Christ to the world?
