James 2:14-17
What good is it my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?  Can such faith save him?  Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Reflection
James tells us that we cannot ignore the needs of others and at the same time claim that we have
faith in Christ.  If we do then our faith is empty.
The same is true as we consider the spiritual needs
of others.  We cannot say that we care about the spiritual welfare of people and then do nothing to share the good news of Jesus with those people.
If we ignore the need to take the gospel to
spiritually needy people then our concern for
their spiritual well-being is empty and false.

How can we prove that we truly care about the spiritual destiny of others?
