1 Peter 1:22-23
Now, that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of Perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
Reflection
Peter tells us that we have been born again. However, that means that we have been born into a new life. If we are truly born of the Spirit of Christ then we will obey the truth. If we obey the truth then we will have a sincere love for other people. We cannot have a sincere love for other people and not recognize and want to care for their needs. If we truly love others we will want to do for them what will help them the most. What will help them the most will be to share the love and grace of Jesus that will change and transform their lives. We need to take Jesus to a world that is full of need.
Take time today to pray about how Christ’s message of salvation can be more effectively shared with a needy world.
