Proverbs 17:16
Of what use is money in the hand of a fool, since he has no desire to get wisdom?

Reflection
What can we learn from the story of Joseph and the famine?  We can learn that if we don’t save in times of plenty then we won’t have enough when unexpected difficulties come along.

To be quite honest the verse from Proverbs tells us that we are very foolish if we do not have a plan for saving.  If we have money in our hands but we don’t use it well or wisely then it doesn’t do us much good because it is here today and gone tomorrow.  If we want to be wise and we want to use our money wisely then we must have a plan for saving.

What does your saving or lack of saving say about you?  If we have a plan to save for the future we are wise, if not, we are foolish.  It is really that simple.
