Psalm 8:3-5
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.

Reflection
If you used last week’s journal, you read about the vastness of God’s creation.  The Psalmist in this psalm, when contemplating the vastness of God’s creation, wondered how God, the creator could think about, pay attention to and even care about mankind.  The New Living Translation uses the phrase “mere mortals” when referring to human beings.

If the Creator God thinks about you, pays attention to you, and even cares about you, how does (or at least how should) that make you feel?
