Genesis 1:26a, 2:18
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, …

The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Reflection
As we continue to think about imago Dei, let’s look deeper at the two verses for today.  First, God exists as one God but exists as the Trinity as three persons  (i.e., “let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness”).  This implies a relationship exists between God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  As part of the imago Dei, we are to be in relationship with not only God but with others – that is part of being made in the image of God.
(Reread Genesis 2:18.)

Consider all that we have talked about this week about humanity – us – and the imago Dei.
How should we be in relationship with others
given imago Dei?
