Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Reflection
As we allow the presence of Christ to grow in us and we surrender more and more to him we will take on more of Christ’s nature and character. We will be humble, gentle, patient and filled more with the love of Jesus. Then through the Holy Spirit we will find peace and unity in Jesus.
As we become more united with Christ the outcome is that we grow in Christ and become more like Christ. I found this poem on the internet: Butchers, bakers, website makers, bankers, tailors, teachers, sailors, (All:) Yet we are one in Christ.
Our unity is in being untied with Christ. Our Christlikeness comes from being united with Christ.
