Luke 22:19-20
And [Jesus] took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”  In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

Reflection
Throughout this week, we have reflected on how God takes something broken and transforms it into a gift.  There is no better example of this than the cross.  Jesus took our brokenness, went to the cross, and provided for our salvation.  As you read Jesus’ statements about the bread and the cup, notice these words: Christ’s body given for you, Christ’s blood poured out for you.

How does knowing that Christ suffered for you impact your understanding of your own pain and struggles?
