Community

Acts 2:42-47, Acts 4:23-35

What is community?  There are many definitions for the word community according to the context to which we are referring.  A town or municipality can make up a community.  A neighborhood can compose a community.  However, when we talk about community in the context of the church we are talking about something much deeper than a group of people living in close proximity to one another.

Community in the church is a deep bond that develops among people as we share together something that is much greater and much larger than who we are as individuals.  So what should Christian community be based on?  How does community develop among Christians?  Those questions and others are what we are going to focus on this week as we consider what it means to live with a deep sense of Christian community.
