Passionate Pursuit
1 john 4:15-16
How many of you have something that you love so much you would go out of your way to do it? It is quite common when we love something to go out of our way or even give up something to be able to do it. The trouble is that this does not always translate into our relationship with God.
The truth is God pursues us passionately. God sent His only Son that we may have life and God in the Holy Spirit sought out each and every one of us. God has waited and waited and waited on us. Our response to this love should be just as passionate and just as driven as God’s passionate love for us. The central element that should drive this passionate pursuit is the value we place on the grace of God in our lives. This truly is a matter of priorities. We need to put the things that are most important to us first in our lives.
