Reflection
Our scripture today comes from the Message translation. The translator adds a very astute translation of the idea of the phrase translated elsewhere as “deny themselves.” The translator makes clear the point of this phrase that by
denying ourselves is to let Jesus lead. What would it look like to let Jesus lead your life? How is this different from the way you live your life?
