Reflection
Today, we will begin to look at a scripture that is at the core of this sermon series. Many of us know John 3:16 by heart, but we rarely quote Luke 9:23. The trouble is that these two verses work together. John 3:16 centers on belief and Luke 9:23 focuses on the response to this belief. So for the rest of the week, we will look at Luke 9:23 and it’s call on our life as a response to our belief. The first easy connection between John 3:16 and Luke 9:23 is to whom the call is
addressed. Both verses are addressed to anyone. If we have multiple verses that support the fact that anyone can come and follow, why do think so many people think that they cannot follow?
