The Kingdom of God

Living the Truth About … The Kingdom of God

Sometimes the world seems like an endless list of needless suffering and premature death, violence and cruelty, economic and political upheaval, poverty and environmental issues, sin and death, guilt and grief, loneliness and fear, anxiety and alienation, wars among nations, racial and religious prejudices.

But, it’s not supposed to be like that.  In fact, most weeks we pray The Lord’s Prayer in unison for just the opposite to be true. “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”

So, if that’s what we’re praying for, then what does that look like?  What is the kingdom of God supposed to look like … on earth as it is in heaven?
