Ephesians 5:19-20
Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.  Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Reflection
Paul is advising us to fill our lives with that which is positive and full of the light of the Lord.  It would be much easier for us to live in the light and turn from the darkness if we filled our lives with the good things of Jesus.  If our hearts were filled with music for the Lord it would be much easier to avoid the darkness of negativity.
If we give thanks to God instead of blaming God for the difficulties or problem we then have a greater chance to live in Christ’s light.  If our hearts are filled with thanksgiving then we can avoid being filled with complaints and accusations. If we emphasize the positive in our lives then we can avoid the darkness of negativity.
How do you stay away from being pulled down by negativity?
What things help you to remain spiritually positive?
