Job 4:7-8
“Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished?
    Where were the upright ever destroyed?
As I have observed, those who plow evil
    and those who sow trouble reap it.

 Reflection
Today we begin to hear the arguments of Job’s friends. And with friends like these who needs enemies. We hear a lie we too often tell, “You brought this on yourself.” Have you ever felt that about someone else or has someone tried to convince you of this. How do you think this phrase could be a way that the enemy deceives us?
