Job 15:2-6
“Would a wise person answer with empty notions
    or fill their belly with the hot east wind?
Would they argue with useless words,
    with speeches that have no value?
But you even undermine piety
    and hinder devotion to God.
Your sin prompts your mouth;
    you adopt the tongue of the crafty.
Your own mouth condemns you, not mine;
    your own lips testify against you.

Reflection
Again Job’s friend seems to give good advice, but we need to remember that one of the games that the enemy plays is to try to convince us that what is good is bad and what is bad is good. This advice completely ignores the concept of forgiveness. We can be caught in this lie when we start to think that we are unlovable because of our sin. Have you ever felt this lie in your life?
