Romans 3:23
…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..

Reflection
The Apostle Paul when he wrote his letter to the church in Rome was clear that none of us have achieved the status of righteous.  None of us have escaped the pitfall of sin.  We have all turned away from God and gone the way of self-centeredness.  We have made it about us rather than God and that is the essence of sin.

Therefore Jesus came into this world not for the righteous but for the sinner.  Do you know what is ironic about that?  There is no such thing as a righteous human being outside the grace of Jesus Christ.  In reality, Jesus came to save us all because there is none of us who are righteous.

Take the opportunity this day to contemplate on your spiritual need and then give thanks that Jesus came to meet that need.
