Hebrews 4:12-13
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Reflection
The next of the tools is the quoted word of God. A preacher once remarked that he secretly loved survival shows. But the shows made him wonder if we were stranded on a deserted island without electronic devices or a hard copy of a Bible how much of the word of God would we have with us. If you were stranded on a deserted island today, how much of the word of God would you have with you? Why do you think it is important that we get into the word of God and hold onto it as our own?
