Leviticus 19:18
18 “‘Do not seek revenge or
bear a grudge against anyone
among your people, but love your neighbor as
yourself. I am the Lord.
Reflection:
This commandment is one that we really mess up. The truth for many of us if we
loved our neighbor the way we loved ourselves we would be terrible people. The
better way to read this is that we are called to love our neighbor the way that
God loves us. Why do you think it is important that we make this distinction?
