Matthew 4:1-3
1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the
wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After
fasting forty days and forty nights, he was
hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Reflection
Today our description of our “adversary” is that of tempter. What do you think our enemy tempts us with? Do you think it is easier to fall into temptation when we are hurting and lonely forgetting that God is with us? Why?
