Connects Everything to a Soul
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

Over time the people of a church begin to become focused on the various activities, ministries, and keeping the church functioning so they begin to forget that the purpose of the church is to be a life- saving station in their community. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that the purpose of the church is not to be a social club or a social service agency. The purpose of the church is to be a vehicle by which the life-saving message of Jesus Christ is taken into the world so people can hear the Word of God make a decision for Jesus, and be saved.
A church that heaven applauds is a church that has a deep desire to see every person, every soul, come to Jesus and enter into eternal life. A church that heaven applauds is a church that keeps its focus on what Jesus said the church should be about which is to make disciples and help those disciples grow in the faith.
