16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Reflection
Today our scripture represents the shield of faith. There are many aspects to faith, but one key aspect is trust. Do we trust that the battle is already won through Christ’s victorious actions? Do you believe what Paul writes here that the shield of faith can stop the evil one’s flaming arrows? Can you trust that even though the evil one may win a battle Christ has already won the war?
